I have an existing project with Vera as the main device source. When trying to add Home Assistant as a new source, it generates “Failed to find any new devices.” If I create a new, blank project and add the same instance of Home Remote Designer, everything works fine and all devices load.
Would anyone have any suggestions as to where to begin troubleshooting this?
You can have 2 Designer instances open. Open both projects & copy it from your new project into your existing.
Hi Bill. Negative, this does not copy any of the devices, only the HA source. I also tried copying individual HA devices, also no luck.
I promise you it will copy all of your devices. Copy the root HomeAssistant object from 1 Designer instance into your 2nd Designer instance. If it isn’t working, please record a video & email it to me so I can see exactly what you are doing.
The only reason it wouldn’t work is if your existing project is an old legacy project. Is your existing project a Legacy one? Check the Advanced Settings dialog.
