Adding the Lutron Grafik Eye QS

Hi there,

I am trying to add the Lutron Grafik Eye QS to the device list and it is not making the connection. I can open the port (192.168.250.1) with password “nwk” using telnet and send commands to the grafik eye, however, when i try to add the device “Lutron Integration Protocol Telnet” in the home remote software the connection times out. Any help much appreciated, i have tried with no password and with password “nwk”

The intention is to use the home remote to control the grafik eye qs using the following integration protocol

Thanks

Peter

After sending the password, the Home Remote will wait for a reply starting with either “GNET>” or “QNET>”. That’s used to confirm we have successfully logged in.

Can you send me a screenshot of your telnet session?

My guess is that you Lutron system is sending something different. I’d like to see what that is.

Hi

See screenshots below of the telnet session…

I can then command the grafik eye using the protocol in the lutron docs, e.g #DEVICE,0xXXXXXXXX,83,3,0 (XXXXXXXX to be replaced with grafik eye serial number)

The ethernet cable is directly wired from PC to the lutron interface unit https://www.lutron.com/TechnicalDocumentLibrary/369373_QSE-CI-NWK-E_ENG.pdf
which is connected to the Grafike Eye QS main unit.

Thanks

Peter

Thanks for the screenshots. Yeah, this is a bit different than other Lutron Telnet systems I’ve worked with. Normally after sending login it’ll ask for a password. It looks like your system doesn’t require that.

I’ll make some changes in this week’s 3.12.0 release so it works with your system. In it, the password will be optional & “connection established” will be included as a successful connection response.

ok thank you look forward to the new release
