Bluetooth/ANT+ triggering

Before I reinvent the wheel I thought I’d just check if Home remote could already connect to the devices Bluetooth or ANT+ (garmin’s) communication protocols?

The use case is that Heart Rate Monitors, bicycle trainers etc. provide a value and they are commonly read, including by the open source software ‘golden cheetah’. Once they go above a threshold values you could turn fans on etc. It’s quite normal to be cold when starting exercise but too hot later on similarly you need lights to be able to get on the bike but once you are attached not really. As regards the ANT+ USB sticks there are already drivers for Windows, Linux, Mac. Some android phones have ANT built in. ANT+ has something called pairing that isn’t really pairing. It’s just learning the short ID number. The traffic isn’t encrypted and can just be sniffed. I suspect ANT+ is the easiest way to go. I’ve also read many of the protocols for ANT+ on the thisisant.com website. It’s really basic stuff.
