Change the local/remote connection settings

Good evening,
I would like to be able to change the local / remote connection settings by clicking on a button.
So it would be necessary to change the hostname and the port corresponding to the Fibaro HC2.

How to do it?
Thank you for your help.

Bonsoir,
Je voudrais pouvoir changer les paramètres de connexion local / distant en cliquant sur un bouton.
Il faudrait donc changer le hostname et le port corresppondant au Fibaro HC2.

Comment faire ?
Merci de votre aide.

I believe the plugin variables such as host IP, port, etc. can only be changed in the plugin settings themselves.
You could save a copy of your HRP file with different settings for your device and load this file when needed.
Another possibility would be to create a second Fibaro HC2 with the other IP settings - but here you would also have to adapt or add all commands.
Instead of the additional commands, you could also duplicate all pages and change the device binding for each button or whatever controls the Fibaro.
Now you would have to add a button that switches between the different start pages.
Sounds complicated but it’s not - it’s just a bit of work.

You can ask me if something is not understandable - I will try to help you.

Thanks for your answer, but I remain convinced that it must be possible to modify its values directly.
That would still be simpler.
It is also true that documentation would be welcome.

Does anyone have another idea?

This was discussed here: Has anyone been able to switch between local and remote access? - #4 by bill where Bill says you can’t change the IP address setting on the fly (or with a button) but you can use logic in the plugin to make a decision when it’s loading whether it should use a local or remote IP address. @john_wallace was able to achieve it, if he is still around to help you. Or you can just use the script he attached to that forum post.

Also when I was searching for that forum post, I came across this one where someone was able to connect to their HC2 remote and local by changing settings in their router: Fibaro Home Center 2 remote access? - #24 by MaiPensato

Additionally, @KalleVC has provided some great options that would achieve your goal.

Well done and thank you gentlemen.

I’ll take a quick look at this.
