Is it possible to differenciate a button click from a long press? The purpose will be to fire 2 different actions for the same button depending on how long the button is pressed. Many thanks.

No, not currently. This is a feature that can probably be added though.
In addition, another feature to consider would be a double click…

Is there a feature request in for long-press? I would like to have a way to access the settings via a non labelled/non obvious route - something hidden, not likely to be triggered accidentally - and a long press event would fit that bill.
