Is anyone else having a hard time reaching The Home Remote FTP server? I get the following error when trying to publish a file.
The Home Remote doesn’t have an FTP server. If you set up an FTP server, it is your own server.
They use to offer a “Business Edition” which essentially allowed you to log in and select your .thr file from their FTP server. That is where I have my files stored. In the designer when I publish it goes to the location below and I can log into the “Business Edition” from the app on the client device and select the file. It’ll also automatically detect an update and get the latest version. It has been working fine for years but yesterday started giving me the error above.
Oh no, ok thanks I’m not familiar with business edition. This is unfortunate. I’ve tried to reach Bill but to no avail.
The server’s Let’s Encrypt SSL certificate expired. It used to autorenew but the Server is running on Plesk & they switched to a pricing model & I’ve been reluctant to pay for that.
I need to login & manually trigger that. I’ll take care of that this weekend.
Am wanting to switch to something other than Plesk. Not sure why I chose that to begin with.
Continue pinging me when things like this happen. While I’m not great at checking email, I do occasionally login & check.
Certificate’s renewed. There was a bug in the autorenew letsencrypt script. It should update automatically next time.
