When I try to add google cast devices, an error comes up saying “failed to find any devices, check if they are powered on”, this is in my android 4.4 device. But if I search google cast devices with my newer phone, it finds google devices without any problem. Is it an android version limitation or am I doing something wrong?
I just tested & it is working for me. Maybe try cycling power on your devices (router too if that doesn’t help). Make sure the official Google Home app can control them on your KitKat device. Could be an issue on certain hardware. I can’t say for sure.
