Help With Sony Projector IR Codes

I currently own a Sony VPL-VW55ES projector. I’m in the process of converting my remote from TouchSquid to The Home Remote. Thus far everything is working with the exception of my projector. I downloaded the “Sony VPL and VPH Series All Models” codes as part of the Global Cache device setup for Sony; Projector; Sony VPL and VPH Series All Models. To verify codes, I selected PowerOn for all of my connected devices. They all worked with the exception of the Sony projector.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

After looking around the internet, I was able to find the solution.

I was able to find a global cache article stating that Sony commands need to repeat 3 times. They showed how to do that with the codeset provided. I provided an example below for the projector PowerOn codeset.

As provided:

PowerOn,41000,1,1,97,24,25,24,49,24,49,24,49,24,25,24,49,24,25,24,25,24,25,24,49,24,25,24,49,24,25,24,49,24,25,796

As modified:

PowerOn,41000,3,1,97,24,25,24,49,24,49,24,49,24,25,24,49,24,25,24,25,24,25,24,49,24,25,24,49,24,25,24,49,24,25,796

Yes, some Sony’s need a repeat of 3. In troubleshooting Global Cache problems when all else fails it is sometimes the repeat that is the culprit. The code hack was also discussed in the Google group.
