I have a backup file
Where should I put the backup file to restore my backup on the mac computer?

The HRP is a registered file extension for the app. When you click the file you should see the option to Send To or Open With the Home Remote app. If you aren’t seeing the option you can copy it to iCloud. Then open the app & click “Restore” on the Settings page. The “Restore” button should open a screen showing all available file services. Then you can browse to find your HRP.
