Need a little help with layout and pages

Hi, all. I’m a Home Remote newbie who has slowly been trying to get up to speed in using the software. I actually posted here some time ago when I was attempting to migrate from iRule to something else (and found myself here!), but as can often happen, life got in the way. In any case, I’m back and ready to get to work.

I would like, if possible, to set up my remote much like I had it when iRule was still around. The screen would open to a set of buttons (watch TV, watch Roku, watch DVD, etc.), and pressing one of the buttons would run a macro (turn on projector, turn on receiver, change source, etc.), and the page would change to control the device you chose. I had a drawer that could be opened from the left allowing you to choose another function (watch TV, watch DVD, etc.), a drawer from the right with volume control, and a drawer from the bottom that allowed a few different functions (sub level, etc). It was an absolutely perfect system.

I have virtually all of the control commands that I need at this point, although I need to build a plugin for my Epson 3020 projector to operate via serial commands from my Global Cache device (I can use infrared for now–the only command I ever use for it pretty much is power toggle). I have watched all of Brian’s videos, and they have been extremely helpful. What I’m not sure how to do is set up and automatically switch between multiple pages (a page for each device control). Maybe I’m better off with just one page that covers everything like Brian does. I would, however, like to have the capability to have one page of less-used commands that I can access from the remote instead of scrounging for the individual remotes for each device when needed.

In any case, is there a tutorial or demo out there that covers these topics? Also, is there a good tutorial on setting up macros? I know you can add multiple items to an event trigger, but what about changing timing, etc.?

This software has a bit of a learning curve, but its capabilities are astonishing. Thanks to everyone who has worked to create and update this software!
