Philips Hue Bridge Pro

Hi, I migrated from two old Philips bridge to the new Bridge Pro. Now i can`t add the new bridge to THR. Get a pop up problem with the SSL certificate., and can not find any device. Anyone have a solution how to add the bridge pro?

I found a work around. I used Home Assistant as device. Home Assistant support Philips Hue bridge PRO. I simply use the the Home Assistant as hub. Works pefectly in THR. Just some work to change everything and import it into THR.

I ran into a road block with secure connection with my LGTV. Work around was Hubitat. Hubitat still has continuous updates.

What’s the benefit to the Philips bridge vs just connecting directly the Philips bulbs from any hub using zigbee?
Edit: I should mention, I connect to my hue bulbs directly from Hubitat (which is then pulled into HA) and I’m wondering if there’s any added benefit.

I do not beleive my Phillips bulbs are Zigbee capabile (they are older “first generation” bulbs). And using the native Phillips stuff often has the ability to use native routines that other implementations may not support.

All of my Phillips Hue bulbs are controlled through my Gen 1 hub, be it from THR, Allonis, Homeseer, Home Assistant, or my phone. I do not buy Phillips bulbs any more, as I think they are way overpriced. There are less expensive brands that seem to work just as well.
