SONOS S2 will it work as before?

Hi,
Will the new SONOS app work as the old S1. Thinking to replace old stuff with SONOS upgrade offer.

The Home Remote uses UPnP to connect with Sonos. I have not tested it with S2 yet but from what I’ve read online it should still work.

I have now transfered to Sonos 2. It works fine with Home Remote. A little tricky to change, as I have to factory reset, all items
Not depending on Home Remote.
