The Home Remote and Home Assistant (Dashboards from both combined)

Home Assistant is amazing and there are a few things I like about the HA UI over THR. Specifically, trends and history. I’ve been thinking about how to get some of the trend graphs into my THR project but, I just didn’t want to make it complicated. Instead of trying to bring in pieces of HA into THR, I brought the whole thing in…

Took me all of three minutes to create a Home Assistant web browser under one of my tabs.

Anyone doing anything cool with THR/HA? For my dedicated THR tablets, this little change was a big upgrade.

Great idea. I’m going to do this for my kitchen wall tablet - thanks!

Happy New year! I’m playing around with this again.

I created a new user in HA and I used this login in THR so I could customize the appearance and limit access/features. In HA, I created a new “climate control” dashboard and used the url to directly access in my Climate Control tab in THR:

If anyone knows how and can help… Is it possible to get just the HA dashboard without menu bar at the top?

Just ask CoPilot in Microsoft Edge
”How to hide top meny in Home Assistant”
I got several suggestion with nstructions.

thanks for the tip, @Ecis. That put me in the right direction!

I ended up installing “Kiosk Mode” from HACS which gives a lot of options to do exactly what I need.

This is going to be good!!
Note: I noticed Opacity doesn’t work for a web-browser in the THR Designer run-time but it works on the tablets. no biggie but my snapshots don’t look as cool.

Great, it looks nice.
There is a lot off integration you can use HA in THR
I take a label from Netatmo. Much more stable than Netanmo own.

As someone that is constantly making changes to my devices, I really like how this is reducing the amount of work in the future. I have always thought of HA as just a backend but would use the HA companion app when out of the house. In the last couple years, they have made massive improvements towards creating better dashboards and I have been using it a lot more. It not great, but just good enough to do what I want. I got used to it, I suppose.

Its been a couple weeks since experimenting with this and I think I’m beyond proof of concept. Actually, I’m convinced combining THR/HA is the most powerful system you could get. Today, I switched over my security panel. I made no changes to the HA dashboard. All I did was bring it into THR and I’m fine with it.
I think its time to dig in and learn how to really spice up the HA dashboards to look amazing in THR. I think the biggest obstacle is scaling… I wish I could change the scaling in the WebBrowser.

On my home screen, I show readings from my whole house energy monitor. If I press on that, it opens a pop-up of a browser showing my energy dashboard.

If anyone else is doing this, please do share!!! I need ideas! If anyone wants to do similar and doesn’t know how, don’t hesitate to ask!
