I have a Vera for some lights. It has worked perfectly several years. All of a sudden I got this status code:Response status code indicate no succes. Code 404
I suspect it,s the ip that have changed. I can’t find the new IP. Anyone have a solution?
Try Advanced IP Scanner. Note you need to be on the same subnet. Also check your DHCP server. Perhaps it switched to automatic from static. I’d also check the manual for the default IP.
If your Vera is connected to the cloud (getvera.com / home.getvera.com), you can log in there. Depending on your model and firmware, you can also access the controller remotely using the “Remote Access” feature provided by Vera/Ezlo.
Simply go to home.getvera.com, sign in with your Vera account, and you should see your controller listed. From there, you can usually connect to your Vera interface without needing to know the local IP address.
There you can then see the IP address or make network and WiFi settings.
Hi,
I know my Vera ip 192.168.50.139 but still unknown.
Now til a very strange problem with Vera. It has worked several years with no problem. Then my network crashed. Fixed it, and crashed again. All IP addresses changed from 192.168.50.XX to 198.168.99.XX What:tired_face: Tried everything with the router settings, no success. Worked some hours and it changed again. Scanned with Global Cache’ IHelper to find my units, and noticed the gateway was 192.168.50.139. Not the routers 192.168.50.1. It was the Vera units build in DHCP server that changed the routers DHCP IP and caused a mess.I think the reason to the first problem was the Vera’s DHCP was turned on. Don’t know how. Anyway, I will start Vera separated from everything and turn the Vera’s DHCP off. Let’s see if this will solve my problem:face_with_monocle:
A long post
I do see a problem. Your Vera needs to be on the same subnet, as was mentioned earlier. Unless you have done some really advanced configuring, that means the first three octets of your LAN IP address must match each other. “192.168.50.” does not match “198.168.99.”.
I would suggest you connect to your router configuration and redo the fixed IP assignment that is assigned to Vera, and then adjust THR to match that new IP assignement.
David’s suggestion makes sense or if your sub network has 192.168.50.xxx, switch off the DHCP server in Vera and set the IP address there manually to 192.168.50.xxx. You must also manually set the gateway address of your router to 192.168.50.1
I have come to the same conclusion that I WILL shut down the Vera. I will not take the risk that it once again turn on the DHCP, and make a mess. I go with HUE, smart plugs. The only regret, was that a found a smart plugs with dimming, that works with Vera. I can’t find some similar that works with HUE.
If you have switched off the DHCP server in the Vera, it will only switch on again if you reset the Vera to the factory settings.
Normally, your settings are retained.
You can find a z-Wave dimm plug here (AD147)
