Virtual Device Variable Question

I have a few questions about the Virtual Device. I notice it has several options, but a few of them aren’t really clear to me and I can’t find any documentation on it.

Status Variable?
Mapping Variable?

The other fields are self-explanatory (Name, Default Value, Description).

Try to avoid using those for new projects. Those were some legacy options that should probably be hidden. Really the only one you should use for new designs is DefaultValue.
